GT Presentations

The Capitol GT students presented their semester projects to an audience to finish up their semester. Mrs. Utley and Mrs. Alexander #expectexcellence and have been helping GT students research and learn for a high level of accomplishment. The Capitol 4th grade GT students researched their country of origin and created informational displays that included topographical maps and food from that country. Parents and students visited the We Are Texans Museum Exhibit, and students enjoyed tasting the various foods from each country. The 3rd grade GT students have been studying and, as part of their research, ate at food trucks to research and create their own Food Truck Business. They learned about marketing, branding menus, catering, pricing, and more. The 2nd grade GT students put their knowledge of Texas history to work and turned the Texas-themed short story, The Case of the Missing Lone Star, into a fun skit! In their skit, a time bandit had stolen the Lone Star from the Texas flag at the Texas State Capitol Building. These 2nd-grade Texas Time Rangers had to find clues from all over Texas and track down the thief through time. These kids all learned so much! Thank you to Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Utley for going above and beyond with these students!
