World Read Aloud Day

Do you know how important it is to read aloud to small children? Today is World Read-Aloud Day, and librarians all over LISD are doing just that. Most read-aloud books are picture books, but we caught LMS Librarian Mixie Clowe and South Librarian Roxanne Toney reading chapter books with students. Capitol Librarian Pam Alexander and ABC Librarian Abi Swain always read books aloud too! Capitol students will read online stories today through a Scholastic Book Club site. ABC has focused on having community members come into the library this year to read to students. Thank you Mrs. Breann Buxkemper for reading aloud to our kids today! It's a great day to read a book aloud and LISD is so proud that our educators love helping students discover books!
