Around the World & Back

Capitol and South second-graders had an amazing day traveling “around the world and back” at the annual Wallace/SPC Global Festival! Students explored the cultures of Egypt, Algeria, Vietnam, Nigeria, Sweden, France, Bulgaria, Spain, Mexico, and the Caribbean. At each stop, they had their Global Passports stamped and enjoyed hands-on activities! They tasted international foods, got their faces painted, made piñatas and other crafts, and discovered unique cultural traditions. It was a fun, immersive, and memorable experience that brought the world right to our students! We send out a huge thank-you to South Plains College, the SPC International Students Association, The Wallace, and the Breakfast Rotary for providing such a wonderful learning experience.
