Capitol Elementary welcomed our 4th-grade families for STAAR Math Night, giving parents a firsthand look at the challenging math skills their students are learning and will see on the STAAR test. Parents worked through multi-step word problems, explored problem-solving strategies & learned just how much thinking goes into finding the right answer! The best part? Our students have the Capitol TEAM behind them! When parents understand what their children are learning, they can encourage those skills at home, build confidence & remind their students that they can do hard things. Thank you to every parent who showed up, participated & partnered with our teachers.
